Our People
Craig Wilson
Manager / Funeral Director / Embalmer
Since 2010, Canterbury and South Canterbury have been the communities I have had the privilege of serving as a Funeral Director. I became a qualified Registered Funeral Director in 2018, and Geraldine is proudly our hometown.
I was drawn to funeral directing through life experience and the lessons it brings. I saw an opportunity to use the skills I have gained to support families at times when it can be hardest to help ourselves. Life’s unexpected realities highlight the importance of community — of supporting one another, coming together, and sharing the challenges of modern life.
Alongside me is my wife, Nell. Her unwavering support is a constant strength and brings balance to my life. Together, we value the opportunity to care for and assist local families during times of loss. Through this connection, we have built strong and meaningful relationships that give us a deep sense of belonging. Our community is rich, and we feel fortunate to be part of it.
We love our home and garden, where flowers through the seasons give Nell — known by many as the “Geraldine Flower Lady” — the opportunity to create beautiful bouquets that bring cheer and smiles to others. We also enjoy tending our large vegetable gardens, which provide a place to relax and unwind. My other passion is woodworking, and together we enjoy the outdoors, camping, and tramping.
As your community-based funeral home, we are here to support you and your family when bereavement comes.
